Friday 19th January

Meet your team

Leading up to the event, should you be one of the lucky few selected to attend, you'll have handy your team packet telling you all about who you're working with and who your Mentor/Team Lead is.

To kickstart HotHack for 2023, you'll meet your team and get to know each other over a few drinks and nibbles.

Event kick off

Once you've met your team you'll head to the main event space to hear from the organisers and sponsors about what to expect!

We will break the ice with some fun activities to get you in the mood for the weekend ahead, and will run through the itinerary for the weekend including workshops, problem statements you will work on as a team, and much more!

Hear from supporters 📢

We couldn't run HotHack if it weren't for the amazing support of Brisbane companies that are passionate about creating a better future for the next generation of developers in Brisbane.

As a passionate developer yourself, we believe it is mission critical to learn about the amazing companies putting their money where their mouths are, and how they're helping to shape not just Brisbane's future but yours as well 🎉

Decide on a Game Plan

With the festivities over it's time to find a spot with your team and knuckle down to plan out your solution with whichever problem you choose to solve!

Leaning on your lead for support, this is the time to discuss what problems most appeal to you, and to decide as a group what you want to build for the weekend.

Your Lead will help you set up tickets, repositories and process such as Standup, in anticipation for the next two days to come.
